At Heath Care Children Services we understand that having a safe,
Nurturing home environment and the support of adults who truly care can make all the difference to a child who has experienced disruption in their lives.
Our regulated children’s homes are risk assessed and with regular health and safety checks conducted to ensure that the premises is a safe and welcoming home. There’ll be at least one Residential Support Worker in each of our residential home at any given time, so the children who stay with us can rely on the support of a trusted adult 24/7. External CCTV is in operation outside our properties to ensure the safety of children and staff.
Our children’s care home is furnished beautifully and has comfortable communal areas where children are encouraged to relax and play together. There are plenty of fun activities available like games consoles, board games, toys, and access to Netflix, and we’re always planning fun things to do outside the home.
All are staff have regular opportunities to take part in training opportunities, team learning events and practice their skills.
All staff in Hathaway Garden our care home have achieved or are working towards a Level 3 Children & Young Peoples Workforce Diploma, and are given the opportunity to develop their career by progressing onto a Level 4 qualification.
In addition to the above, we believe that all young people deserve the best chance to grow, develop and receive an education that prepares them for a bright and productive future. That’s why our children’s home offer education to our residents either and college or alternative education providers, with courses and classes tailored according to individual needs, abilities and educational levels.
From the point of referral, we work in partnership with families, carers, commissioners, stakeholders and the young person themselves to identify the most suitable residential care placement, which will fully meet their requirements and provide the best level of support.
